A single axis golf swing the best way to hit a ball? Pushed by the success of Moe Norman, the single axis approach was very popular and well known for power, consistency, accuracy and the additional impact on the debate rages. He presented a first concept of "Natural Golf" required for many years. It is not easy to stop in the near future.

Norman is one of the best ever ballstrikers. Even the great Ben Hogan admired his swing. Hogan was once quoted as saying: "Moe is the only type thatI want to go across the street to watch hit balls. "Hogan was not alone. So what's behind the debate? Let's look more closely at the single-axis swing.

While the single axis swing is not something that I in my speech, golf lessons and golf tips, but still intrigues. Having to remove and replace a club on a plane, not the two levels of the modern approach simplifies the golf swing. At least, as I explain in teaching sessions of golf, when asked about it, it improves the most important effect swing.

Main difference between Swings

The main difference between the traditional and the golf swing single axis swing is the relationship between address and impact. With the conventional swing, the player with his arms and hands directly under your shoulders and form two separate lines that create an angle between the arms and club repeated.

With the single-axis swing, the address of the association depends on the same position> Level as the level of impact. In other words, the single axis begins to swing the club on the same level of impact and stays there. So the golf swing is simplified. Solid ballstriking, which emphasize in my golf lessons and golf tips that will help.

Address:

With the traditional swing, players take a course closer to the lead arm on a different line from the club manager. The path is clear and binding her hands behind the head of the stick. With the single-axis swing, the hands are positioned in front of the head, with all clubs. This position is a straight line of the same line, you turn on impact when the lead arm and Club Orient repeated. Moe Norman called it "off the shelf".

Backswing

Since the conventional swing starts at a different level to find, the player must keep his wrists hinge the club back on the plane. The position of address creates a steeper shoulder level. TheSpine slightly tilted forward, away from the original viewpoint spine to go into recession. Since the single axis swing starts at the same level, keeps the player at club level, keeping the ratio between the arm and shoulder lead, management set up at the address. The inclination of the spine remains the same as the address remains at the shoulder.

Top of the Swing

The oscillation traditional strengths of a steep, vertical movement of the arm to the top of theBackswing. The spine moves toward the target, in a reverse C, and the right elbow (for right has been revoked) and have to drop down to the club back on the floor of the downswing. A drop with the single-axis swing, there is no need weapons in the slot. You are already there. The wrists are eager and willing to provide as much energy as possible, in the back of the ball.

Downswing

With the conventional swing of the wheel lower body with the headStraighten leg and lift the back foot to make way for the lifting of the club head at impact. The way a little 'elbow behind the wake of his side, the "trap" is the arm behind the body. With the single-axis swing, the head stays behind the ball, is the way on foot to the floor and kept the players push back. The leg flexed and lead remains stable. There is also need to move the body to make room for a wave steep.

Impact

The effects of the two positionsconventional single-axis swing are similar effects, as they should be. The main difference is, as we have seen how they got there, on different levels, or on a single plan. What's more, the single axis swing produces minimal movement in swing, compared to the traditional swing.

Release

The conventional swing requires a full version of the whole body, lift with excessive hip rotation and the need to stretch on foot from the ground. Also, exceed the lower piazza of the clubface. This is in contrast with the single-axis swing, where the weapons could lead to a decline post, or legs, and moves directly to the target, like a pendulum.

This is the single axis swing soon. Many of the fundamental principles of swing single axis may be players on the tour, seen today as Craig Perry, Mike Weir and Tom Lehman, Mark O'Meara and is almost a copy of Moe Norman in a position to release.

The debate rages on.The conventional swing has many supporters, but the single axis swing, the percentage of supporters. If you have problems with consistency, can be useful to investigate what at least a simple way to achieve a strong position of impact. Will not be hurt.
